What is God waiting for?

Don’t you ever look at the world and think to yourself, “Why doesn’t God do something? Why doesn’t He stop this evil? Why won’t He fix these broken places, and come and make things right?”

Well, that question used to trouble me a lot—until I read this verse in the Bible that changed my perspective. It says: God is not slow like some people think. He’s being patient because He doesn’t want anyone to be destroyed. He wants everyone to repent—that means to turn around and turn to HIM—and find life.

He’s giving you time—to find Him, to turn to Him, and to start again.

He’s not waiting because He’s too far away, careless, or distant. It’s the opposite! He’s waiting because He’s kind. And He wants you, and all people, to have this opportunity…to receive His offer…to come and to find hope—with Him.

Always remember, there is hope with God.

“He just wants you to take one step toward Him.”

2 Peter 3:9

“The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.”
