What if I never get married?

What if I never get married? Has that question ever haunted you? Marriage is a beautiful thing—a blessing from God.

But it’s not the only path to a wonderful life. We can get stuck in the quest to find our “soulmate” and be tricked into believing that having a romantic partner is what makes us complete.

But the Bible teaches that, while marriage is good, it’s not for everyone. The apostle Paul knew it was better for him to stay unmarried to focus on the work of spreading the Gospel.

And God highly values friendship—not just romantic love.

1 Samuel 18:3 shows a vow of friendship between Jonathan and David. It says…Jonathan made a solemn pact with David, because he loved him as he loved himself.

Whether you’re married or single, put all your focus and all your hope in God and His kingdom. Let God lead the way. And find peace as you simply follow Him.
