Take Him at His Word

There's a story in the book of John about a man who came to Jesus begging him to come and heal his son because he was dying. Jesus said to him, you may go, your son will live.

This story tells us that the man took Jesus at his word and departed. And while he was still on his way home, his servant came and met him with the news that his son was living. 

This story is so beautiful to me because this man was desperate. But Jesus made him a promise. And this man took Jesus at his word. 

Do you take Jesus at his word?

He said to you, I will never leave you or forsake you. He said, Do not be afraid I will help you. He said, Don't let your heart be troubled. I go to prepare a place for you so that you will be with me forever. Take him at his word today. Believe him today.

Numbers 23:19

 “God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act?Has he ever promised and not carried it through?”
