Am I really saved?

Have you ever wondered, “Am I really saved?”

Maybe you love Jesus and you do your best to follow His commands but You feel like you fall short over and over again.

In John 6:47, Jesus tells us his followers,

“Very truly I tell you, the one who believes has eternal life.”

Our sin nature and culture try to convince us that to belong, we need to be “good enough.” We need to earn it. That is not at all what Jesus says!

Rather than focusing on achievement, Jesus focuses on faith.

Friends, do you believe that Jesus is who He said? Do you believe that He is the Son of God who came to wash us from our sins? Do you believe He died on the cross and on the third day rose to life? Do you believe so deeply that you’ve said, “God, here is my life. It’s yours.”

You are not saved by your actions but rather by your faith in Him. But as You continue to believe and put your life in His hands each day, your faith will be made visible in your actions. His Spirit working in you will lead you to live in kindness, generosity, and purity.

Friends, I’ll leave you with this scripture from Philippians 2:

“...continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.”

Let God work out His good purpose in you today. Just say, “Lord, have your way in my life,” and listen as He leads you!

“Rather than focusing on achievement, Jesus focuses on faith.”
