The Promise of Easter

The story of Easter is all about a family relationship. You may feel abandoned and lost today, and you do not want to remain stuck there any longer – enslaved to that situation you’re in.

For that very reason Jesus died on the cross, to remove all that has separated you from Him. The Bible calls it sin; it’s the sin in your life.

Jesus took all the punishment for your sin on Himself when He died on the cross. He came to draw you to Himself, that you would never be alone again. You were created by God for a relationship with Him, but perhaps you don’t have that relationship yet.

Look up John 8:36 in the Bible. It says, “If the Son – that’s Jesus – sets you free, you will be free indeed.” Not just free to run off on your own again and try to make your way in the world solo. You will be freed from the bondage of sin and welcomed into God’s family. To those who believe in Him and receive Him Jesus says, “I give them the right to become children of God.”

The resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead is all about making things right as they ought to be. He is working that plan out now, and He wants to work it out in your life.

So turn to Jesus this Easter and say yes to Him. Enter into the relationship you were created for and do it today.
