Peace Beyond Understanding—Keep Asking for It

Peace is something we all long for. Some seek peace by numbing away stress with drugs and alcohol. Some look to relationships or circumstances. Others simply try to distract themselves from unpleasant emotions.

But God’s peace is much better than any of those temporary fixes.

Philippians 4 says,

Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

God wants us to do two things: 1—bring all our needs to Him, honestly and often, and 2—make a habit of gratitude.

These two things help us to see the world through God’s eyes—see the beauty in all He’s given us, even when the hardship remains.

You can start this journey today. Ask God for what you need, and thank Him for all He has done.

“Ask God for what you need, and thank Him for all He has done.”

Philippians 4:6b-7

“Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”
