Oppression

If you are a follower of Jesus, I’m sure you’ve had people ask you, “Why is there so much suffering in the world if God is so loving and kind? Why doesn’t He do something about it?”

Well, that’s a question we don’t have a full answer for, but we do know that with God the righting of wrongs is a continual process.

You can be assured that God cares deeply about human suffering, about injustice, and every wrong thing that happens to us.

He grieves with those who grieve, and He loved us enough to send His only Son to die for us. He has been destroying tools of oppression on behalf of His people since ancient times.

Now, He invites us to participate in defending the weak, spreading His love and mercy in the world. We get to be a part of God’s plan to make all things right.

Do you know someone who is being oppressed? Who is suffering? Show them Christ’s love by helping them.

“You can be assured that God cares deeply about human suffering, about injustice, and every wrong thing that happens to us.”

Isaiah 9:4

“For you will break the yoke of their slavery and lift the heavy burden from their shoulders. You will break the oppressor’s rod, just as you did when you destroyed the army of Midian.”
