God, I want to be safe...

Do you just want to be safe? For your family to be protected?

Do you wish your body would never run out of breath and that your next meal was guaranteed?

We all have a compulsion to protect ourselves and the people we love. But we will all come up short—even if you were the richest person alive, you could not guard them from every possible accident.

True security comes from Jesus alone. Jesus is God and He came to earth as a man to invite you to put all of your trust in Him. He died to pay the penalty for everything you have ever done wrong. And He rose from the dead to show You that death is not the end.

He offers a safe and secure eternal place in His family for all who choose to put their trust in Him.

When we accept Jesus, we are saying, “God, I give up trying to keep MYSELF safe. I trust that You are the only One who can save me, provide for me, and give me life forever. My way is empty. Your way overflows with life. I will do whatever You ask. Be my Lord and Savior.”

Friend, our way will never be enough. We will never have enough strength or enough money to keep ourselves safe. But He is enough! And He wants you to come to Him and be a part of His family. It says in 1 John 5—

We know that God’s children do not make a practice of sinning, for God’s Son holds them securely, and the evil one cannot touch them. We know that we are children of God and that the world around us is under the control of the evil one.

And we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us understanding so that we can know the true God. And now we live in fellowship with the true God because we live in fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the only true God, and he is eternal life.

Dear children, keep away from anything that might take God’s place in your hearts.

Do you want to commit your life to Him? I would love to celebrate with you! Will you let me know at hopewithgod.com/jesus?

“In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.”
