Did I repent enough?

Have you ever struggled to believe that God really forgives you? Sometimes we feel the urge to do something special to “make it up” to God.

But truly, my friend, there is nothing more to do but to humbly apologize before God, and surrender that area of your life to His ways.

Jesus created a living picture of forgiveness when He washed His disciples’ feet. They couldn’t understand why Jesus, the Living God, would show them such humble love.

In John 13,

Peter protested, “No you will never wash my feet!” Jesus replied, “Unless I wash you, you won’t belong to me.” Simon Peter exclaimed, “Lord, not my feet only, then, but my hands and head as well!” Jesus replied, “A person who has bathed all over does not need to wash, except for the feet, to be entirely clean.”

Receive this truth today—when you repent honestly before God, you are completely forgiven.
