Comfort
What comforts you? Thinking of comfort reminds me of when my children were young, when one of them would become distressed and cry.
As their mother, I understood why they were crying, even when they didn't. In love, I would wrap my arms around them and comfort them.
In Philippians 2, Paul tells us that we receive comfort from God's love.
We don’t understand everything that happens to us in life; we want things we can’t have, we have pain that we don’t understand, and it brings us to our knees—we cry out to God.
The beautiful truth is that we have a Father who comes and says, “I love you, you’re safe.” God is able to comfort us with His love.
Ask Him today.
Always remember, there is hope with God.
“God is able to comfort us with His love.”
Philippians 2:1
“Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate?”
