Busyness or Purpose

We humans seek significance but often settle for busyness.  We tell ourselves that if we are always busy, it must mean we are in demand and we count for something. We settle for productivity while inwardly we crave a sense of purpose and destiny.

There’s nothing wrong with having a full schedule of activities that serve a worthwhile purpose. But just because we are busy doesn’t always mean we’re doing what God has called us to do.

He wants us to reach out to people around us with His love and His offer of salvation through Jesus Christ. He specifically told us to love our neighbors and to proclaim the Gospel to everyone. That includes your own family.

That should be our purpose. That is what gives us a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction.

Remember that when Jesus commanded us to proclaim the Gospel, He also promised that He would always be with us.

“Just because we are busy doesn’t always mean we’re doing what God has called us to do.”

Matthew 28:19-20

“Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
