A Successful Strategy

Is there someone in your life who is stubbornly resistant to God and His offer of salvation?

Let me tell you about the strategy that finally broke down the barriers in my heart and brought me to the point of receiving Jesus as my Savior.

After high school I left home, went to college, then took a job on the east coast, as far away as possible from my family in Oregon. I was also trying to distance myself from God.

Foolish idea, right? My parents continued to pray for me, they spoke to me about my need for the Lord, they lived holy lives – not perfect, but a great example to me. 

When I reached the lowest point of my life, my parents were still there – praying for me, living life, sharing the Good News with me. I was 27 years old when I finally surrendered my life to Christ.

I tell you this as an encouragement to continue being an example, telling the good news of salvation, and praying. God will answer.
