A Generous Heart

God has been teaching me about the importance of having a generous heart.

The Apostle Paul talks a lot about generosity in the New Testament. You’ve probably heard his famous words in 2 Corinthians (9) – “Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.”

Why would anyone sow sparingly? The only reason is if there is a sense that there is not enough. Not enough time or resources. Not enough energy.

Yet that is not the case when we trust in Jesus Christ. He is enough. He is the God of abundance. Abundant joy, peace, forgiveness, and freedom.

I’m longing for you to know of His generosity and kindness. He is waiting for you to call out to Him so He can pour into you all the love and grace that you need, so that you can be a generous person.

Always remember, there is hope with God.

“He is waiting for you to call out to Him so He can pour into you all the love and grace that you need, so that you can be a generous person.”

2 Corinthians 9:6

“Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop.”
